The school uniform identifies the girls as pupils of AssumptionGrammar School. While wearing it, they represent their school, its values and traditions.
Their appearance should be such, that it brings credit to themselves, their families and their school.
The following rules governing uniform must be strictly adhered to:
1 Everypupil must wear the prescribed uniform which should always be neat andclean. Skirts should be no more than two inches above the knee. Short,tight skirts are not acceptable. Variations in colour and style are notpermitted.
2 Uniform is worn at school, going to and from school and on all related occasions unless the Principal permits otherwise. Blazers must be worn coming toand from school.
3 A plain navy rain jacket may be worn over the school uniform. This must notbe used as a replacement for the school blazer. No other jackets are permitted. Only regulation scarves may be worn.
4 Pupils with long hair should have it tied back in class. Ribbons, hair bands and slides must be blue, navy, black or white.
5 Extreme hairstyles/cuts/colours are not acceptable.
6 Jewellerymay not be worn to school. However, girls with pierced ears may wearone pair of small studs or sleepers in lobes of ears. These must begold, silver or clear. Any other jewellery will be confiscated andshould be collected by the pupil from the relevant teacher at the endof the school day. Pupils with visible body piercing will be asked toremove the jewellery or parents will be asked to collect their daughter.
7 Only badges and emblems permitted by the school may be worn.
8 Nail polish and obvious make-up/fake tan are not permitted.
9 It is essential that pupils wear the prescribed PE. uniform.
Parental co-operation in maintenance of good uniform standards and behaviour is greatly appreciated.

A white school blouse with short sleeves is optional for all pupils.
Long sleeved white school blouse to be worn at all official school functions.
