Year 9 Pastoral Programme Overview
We strive to ensure that the transition from year 8 into year 9 is just as smooth and effective as we hope the transition from primary to secondary proved to be. Each year is special, and we have a pastoral curriculum that ensures progression and continuity. Accordingly, Year 9 represents a significant step-change in terms of difficulty and complexity. In addition, we recognise the increasing maturity of our Year 9 pupils’ and that this progression is acknowledged and appreciated.

In this academic year, a focus on online support had been added to the Pastoral Programme to provide a link between pupils and staff for when pupils are not in the school building. This action also assisted pupil transition to online learning.
